Aya Kato’s work is truly captivating. Aya creates beautiful and intricate dream-scapes which entice the viewer to run wild through the flowing contours and amorphous forms discovering hidden symbols and ambiguous characters along the way. Hailing from Seto-shi, Aichi Japan, Aya describes her work as wanting to create a subconscious relationship or harmony with the viewer, provoking an inner awakening with those who look deep into the images. What a pleasure to stumble across the work of Portuguese artist Paulo Arriano. Originally working as an art director for urban culture magazines such as Slag and Magnolia Paulo has progressed into becoming an artist in his own right. Focusing on expressions of duality in experience, the work is visually constructed from curvacious, amorphic  forms often struck together symetrically pleasing totems. The mix of symbols, type and characters seem to form intricate constructs in Paulo’s work, perhaps born out of his focus on the simbience of the natural and man-made world. The work spans across an ever evolving raft of media prolifically growing into a diversity of disciplines. We highly recommend a visit to the site. Enjoy!
